Planning your portrait session should feel simple and stress-free. 


Below are answers to the most common questions about maternity, newborn, family and couples photography in Toronto, the GTA and York Region.

Booking & Pricing

Your photos should feel authentic, emotional, and timeless. My goal is to create a relaxed experience where you can simply enjoy the moment while I capture the memories naturally. Every session is designed to reflect your story, your connection, and the moments that matter most.

Yes! A second photographer can be added to any wedding package to provide additional coverage of your day. 


Having two photographers allows us to capture more moments, different angles, and events happening at the same time—such as both partners getting ready, guest reactions during the ceremony, and more candid moments throughout the day.

If you’d like more complete storytelling and extra coverage, adding a second photographer is a great option. A Second Photographer can be added to your package for $650.


Most clients book 2–4 weeks in advance, especially during busy seasons like spring and fall.

For engagement, maternity, or seasonal family photos, booking early is recommended. 


For wedding photos, booking 9-18 months in advance is ideal to ensure less stress in your wedding planning! 


Booking is simple! Fill out the contact form with your preferred date, session type, and location.

Once your form is received, we will contact you to book a free 20 minute consultation phone call to discuss your session.


After our consultation, you’ll be sent a  link where you can book your session and secure your spot by paying the deposit. 


 Yes. A non-refundable deposit (50%) is required to reserve your session date. The remaining balance is due on or before the session day.


Deposit payments can be made via debit or credit card using our booking portal. E-Transfer and cash are accepted for the remainder payments. 


Session Details

Sessions can take place:


  • Outdoors at scenic locations
  • In your home
  • At a rented studio
  • At a location meaningful to you

Most portrait sessions last about 1 hour, giving us plenty of time for multiple poses, backgrounds, and natural moments.


Mini sessions typically last 20–30 minutes. 


Neutral tones, soft colors, and coordinated outfits photograph beautifully. Avoid large logos or busy patterns.


After booking, you'll receive a style guide with outfit tips. 


Yes! Many clients bring 1–2 outfit changes to create variety in their photos.


Yes! Props such as blankets, hats, flowers, or sentimental items can add personality and meaning to your photos.


Don't worry! Kids being themselves often leads to the most natural photos. Sessions are relaxed and designed to capture authentic moments.


Yes, travel within the city is included. Locations beyond 50 km will require a travel fee. 


We travel to Toronto, Scarborough, North York, Etobicoke, Ajax, Pickering, Markham, Stouffville, Newmarket, Mississauga and Brampton. 


Photos & Delivery

The number of images depends on the package, but most sessions include 25–50 professionally edited photos.


Your gallery will typically be delivered within 1–2 weeks after the session. 


You’ll receive a password protected private online gallery where you can:


  • Download high-resolution images
  • Share with family and friends
  • Order prints

 Yes! Professional prints, canvases, and albums can be ordered directly from your gallery. Check out our Prints & Albums page for more information. 


Style & Experience

My style focuses on natural, timeless, and authentic portraits that capture genuine emotion and connection. 


 Yes! Pets are part of the family and are welcome in portrait sessions.


 Of course! You are welcome to share your photos online. Credit is always appreciated when possible.


Rescheduling & Weather

 Outdoor sessions can be rescheduled if weather conditions are poor. We'll work together to choose the best backup date.


Yes, with at least 48 hours notice whenever possible.


The deposit is non-refundable as it holds your date and turns away other clients. For cancellations within 60 days of the event, 75% of the total is due. 


Backup & Security

We back up all galleries to multiple external hard drives. All galleries are also kept online for up to six months, giving clients ample time to download them. 


Before You Book - Wedding Photography FAQ

Most couples book 8 hours of coverage, which usually captures getting ready, the ceremony, portraits, and reception highlights.


Our Mini Wedding Package covers 2-5 hours

Our Signature Wedding Package covers 6-8 hours 

Our Premium Wedding Package covers 10 hours


For weddings, it is recommended to book a photographer 9-18 months before the wedding date.

It is recommended to book your photographer around the same time you book your venue. 


For smaller weddings, you can still try booking a wedding photographer 6-9 months before but dates may be limited. It’s best to secure your booking as early as you can. 


Yes! I help couples plan a photography timeline to ensure we capture all the important moments while keeping the day relaxed and enjoyable.


For larger weddings, a second photographer may be included or added to capture additional angles and candid moments.


Yes. I offer high-quality albums and professional prints so you can preserve your memories beautifully for years to come.


You can expect approximately 50–100 edited images per hour of coverage. Every gallery is carefully curated to deliver the best moments from your day.


Final galleries are typically delivered within 4–8 weeks, depending on the season. A few preview images may be sent within a few days after the wedding.


Yes. I always bring multiple cameras, lenses, memory cards, and backups to ensure your wedding day is fully covered.


Absolutely! I love photographing weddings locally and at destinations. Travel fees may apply depending on location.


What To Expect From A Engagement Shoot

Most couples schedule engagement photos 6–12 months before the wedding, often shortly after booking their venue.


Choose outfits that reflect your style while coordinating with each other. Many couples bring two outfits — one casual and one more formal.


Yes! Depending on the season and your style, we can shoot outdoors for natural light and scenic backdrops or indoors for a cozy, intimate vibe.


What To Expect For A Maternity Shoot?

Yes! Many clients love bundled packages for maternity + newborn sessions, ensuring a cohesive story from pregnancy to baby’s first days.


Between 28–34 weeks of pregnancy when the bump is visible but you're still comfortable.


Absolutely! Including your partner and other children makes for heartwarming family memories and versatile photos.


Absolutely! Including ultrasound images, tiny shoes, or other personal items adds sentimentality and meaning to your photos.


Flowy dresses, fitted tops, and neutral or soft colors work beautifully. Comfort is key!

Accessories like scarves or simple jewelry can also enhance the look.


We don’t offer maternity dresses but can definitely recommend some outfit styles! 


Yes! Most sessions allow for 2–3 outfit changes, giving you variety in style, colours, and vibes.


Both! Outdoor sessions capture natural light and scenery, while studio or indoor sessions create a controlled, intimate atmosphere. We can plan based on your preference.


Absolutely! Locations like your home, favorite park, or a place that holds special memories are perfect for personalized and meaningful photos.


Most sessions last about 60–90 minutes, giving us plenty of time for multiple poses, outfit changes, and both solo and family shots.


Your comfort is our priority. We can pause as needed, adjust poses, or schedule shorter sessions to ensure your well-being throughout.


Newborn Photography Questions Parents Often Ask

 The ideal time for newborn photos is between 5–14 days after birth. During this time babies are sleepier, curl naturally, and are easier to pose safely.


However, beautiful newborn portraits can still be captured up to 6 weeks old. 


 It’s best to book your session during your second or third trimester to guarantee availability.


Your session date will be tentatively reserved based on your due date, and we will finalize the exact date once your baby arrives. 


Newborn sessions typically last 1.5–3 hours.


This allows time for:

  • Feeding
  • Changing
  • Soothing baby
  • Creating multiple poses and setups


The session is completely baby-led and relaxed. 


 Newborn sessions can take place:

• In your home lifestyle session
• Outdoors (weather permitting)
• In a studio setting (rented studio)


Lifestyle sessions are very popular because they capture your baby in the comfort of your home.


  Yes — and it's highly encouraged!


Family images are some of the most meaningful photos from the session, and we always include time for:

  • Parent portraits
  • Sibling photos
  • Full family portraits


 Simple is best.


Neutral tones and soft textures photograph beautifully. Babies are often photographed:

  • Wrapped
  • In simple onesies
  • With blankets or swaddles


Avoid clothing with large logos or bright patterns.


 Soft neutral colors photograph best.


Great options include:

  • Cream
  • Beige
  • Soft pastels
  • Light grey
  • White


Avoid:

 That’s completely normal.


I work with babies at all stages of sleep and awake moments. Some of the most beautiful images happen when babies are quietly awake.


Sessions are never rushed, allowing time for soothing and feeding. 


Absolutely.


Your baby's safety and comfort are always the top priority. Poses are done gently and safely, and your baby will never be forced into uncomfortable positions.


Parents are always nearby throughout the session.


 No problem at all.


Because newborn sessions are booked around your due date, we keep space available in the calendar to adjust once baby arrives.
